Sectors We Support
We work with organisations across both the public and private sectors who handle, store, or transport dangerous goods — providing specialist DGSA compliance support tailored to each sector's regulatory landscape.
Public Sector & Local Authorities
Councils and government bodies managing hazardous materials across depots, waste facilities, and operational sites. We understand the governance and procurement frameworks that public sector organisations operate within, and ensure your dangerous goods compliance is audit-ready and defensible.
NHS & Healthcare
Healthcare organisations handling medical gases, pathological specimens, diagnostic chemicals, and pharmaceutical waste. We provide DGSA oversight, compliant transport solutions, and documentation that meets both regulatory and clinical governance requirements.
Universities & Research Laboratories
Academic institutions and research facilities managing diverse and complex chemical inventories. From laboratory chemical waste to specialist reagent transport, we help universities establish robust dangerous goods procedures across multiple sites and departments.
Utilities & Energy
Energy companies and utility providers handling fuels, industrial chemicals, and hazardous waste from operational activities. We support compliance across distributed networks of sites and mobile operations where dangerous goods handling is a routine requirement.
Construction & Contractors
Construction companies and specialist contractors working with flammable materials, industrial chemicals, and hazardous substances on-site. We provide practical compliance support tailored to the realities of construction environments and subcontractor chains.
Commercial & Industrial Operators
Manufacturers, distributors, and industrial operators who produce, store, or transport dangerous goods as part of their commercial activities. We deliver ongoing DGSA oversight, audit support, and operational compliance advice tailored to your sector.
Regulatory landscape
UK dangerous goods regulations
Understanding the regulatory framework is the first step toward compliance. Here are the key regulations that govern dangerous goods handling and transport in the UK.
CDG 2009
Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009
The primary UK legislation governing the carriage of dangerous goods by road. Implements ADR into UK law and establishes the requirement for DGSA appointment, driver training, vehicle compliance, and incident reporting.
ADR
European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road
The international regulatory framework for transporting dangerous goods by road. Post-Brexit, the UK continues to align with ADR standards through domestic legislation. ADR defines hazard classes, packing requirements, labelling, documentation, and vehicle standards.
COSHH
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
UK workplace health and safety regulations that require employers to assess and control exposure to hazardous substances. While primarily focused on workplace handling rather than transport, COSHH assessments often overlap with dangerous goods classification and handling procedures.
Post-Brexit note: Following the UK's departure from the EU, dangerous goods transport regulations continue to be aligned with ADR through domestic legislation (CDG 2009 as amended). The UK remains a contracting party to ADR, and the practical regulatory requirements for organisations remain largely unchanged.
